Christmas

First off... MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!!! We started our celebration a little early... Yesterday morning (Christmas Eve morning) the kiddos got to open their gifts from grandparents. They actually have 3 sets of grandparents... my parents (Grandma & Grandpa), Scott's parents (Nana & Pops) and Lynn and Ken Robbins (Grandlynn & Grandken - Scott's best-friend's parents that took super good care of us when we lived up in SC). Needless to say, they had plenty to open... games, dolls, gift cards (a HUGE hit with the boys!) and more!

This morning, at precisely 7am, I could hear the boys invading the girls' room telling them to get up, it's time to open presents!!! Stockings were handed out and emptied and then the unwrapping began. Everyone was very excited (me too!!! Scott has planned a trip for just me and him... no idea where we are going, but it involves airplane tickets... apparently, I won't find out when or where till it happens).

Some tears were also shed this morning as Andrew discovered that his hamster (Furball Superfast Gower) had died. He went back into his room to give Furball his Christmas present (a hamster treat) and came out saying "Mom, Furball isn't moving." Very sad... but he was glad that Furball lived as long as he did... probably about 2 years, which isn't bad for a dwarf hamster. The boys are now playing some sort of shooting game in the playroom... so I think everyone is ok.
