Courtney was allowed to sit up today!!! So, what's the first thing you do when you are allowed to sit up for the first time??? You sit on Mommy's lap and snuggle. :) You could tell she wasn't super comfortable, but she didn't want me to put her back on the bed. She wanted to snuggle, and that was fine with me! Once she started feeling more comfortable, I picked her up and carried her around the room a bit. Then we sat on the little sofa together and watched some TV. Then she sat up to eat her dinner. She was very happy that she could feed herself again.
Tomorrow we'll attempt some walking, or at least putting some weight on her legs... but the only requirement for discharge is that she be able to sit comfortably (so she can sit in the van in the car seat). We look to be pretty good with that, so it looks promising for us to be discharged tomorrow. YAY!
Well, gotta run... just got told we are being moved to a different room. I need to pack up all our stuff!!
